He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. Psalm 91:1, 4-6 |

God is a refuge, a shelter when we are afraid. Faith in God will carry us through all the dangers and fears of life. This should be a picture of our trust- trading all our fears for faith in Him, no matter how intense our fears. To do this we must “dwell“ with Him. By committing ourselves to His protection and pledging our daily devotion to Him, we will be kept safe. |

To dwell with God means to keep an open and active relationship with Him constantly. It is the daily prayer, bible study and just plain talk with God which delivers us the protection He promises us. We must not let ourselves reach a point where our situation makes us think there is something else other than God to help us. “He is the one.” |

Thank you God for all the times you have either solved a major problem for me or delivered me from a terrible situation. I also realize that answers would have come much faster if I hadn’t tried to do it on my own first. You are a faithful Lord who I desire constantly. Amen. |
