The Joy of Rain

But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard of this, they tore their clothes and rushed out into the crowd, shouting: "Men, why are you doing this? We too are only men, human like you. We are bringing you good news, telling you to turn from these worthless things to the living God, who made heaven and earth and sea and everything in them. In the past, he let all nations go their own way. Yet he has not left himself without testimony: He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons; he provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy." (Acts 14:14-17) |

I was blessed to be born in a beach town; that years ago was rather small and unassuming. I never really said it out loud and not sure how I directed my little voice inside my head, but I just knew that the beauty of the sunset was spectacular. I knew that even at a very young age I was marveling at a Creator’s handiwork. To see the awesome ball of fire touchdown half unto the surf and half on the white sand always and still does leave me speechless. For me a sunset on the beach is like no other yet I believe all around the world everyone has their view of nature that is a testimony to our Creator. |

Let us never give credit to man for the joys that God has given us. Paul tells us that there is testimony in the rain that God provides us. That’s most every day in North Alabama! This reminds me of something my daughter and I started when she was younger; when it would rain on the beach in the summer we would run down the beach with our arms and hands in the air yelling “Feel the Glory!” |

Father God, Thank you for the rain; Thank you for my JOY; the GLORY is all Yours. Amen and Amen |
