More Than One
Cam Price
Listen
Then Agrippa said to Paul, "Do you think that in such a short time you can persuade me to be a Christian?" Paul replied, "Short time or long—I pray God that not only you but all who are listening to me today may become what I am, except for these chains." Acts 26:28, 29
Inquire
When it comes to sports, especially football, I want to win. And I want to win big. Claiming victory by one point is not good enough. As the last seconds tick off the clock, the winner of the game should not be in doubt. My husband reminds me that a win is a win no matter how close the score, but I want as many points as possible. Paul understood this way of thinking. He was not going to be satisfied with just Agrippa becoming a follower of Christ. He wanted all who heard to believe. He wanted to win big.
Faith
This same philosophy should apply in making disciples for Jesus Christ. There is a world of people who do not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Jesus Christ secured the victory. My purpose on this earth is to make disciples for Him. I want to do my part in making sure everyone gets to celebrate the win. One will not be enough.
Experience
Father God, Don’t let me be satisfied with reaching one for Jesus Christ. It can start there, but please do not let me stop there. You have given me a whole life time to make disciples. Provide me with what I need to reach not only one but all. Amen.
