The Obvious
Howard Peterson
Listen
At that time the LORD said to me, "Chisel out two stone tablets like the first ones and come up to me on the mountain. Also make a wooden chest. I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke. Then you are to put them in the chest." (Deuteronomy 10:1-2)
Inquire
This past Saturday I posted the devotion: “Get Ready, Here He Comes.” When I posted it, I inadvertently put my name in the author’s box. I would have never known till my mother had given me a compliment tonight on how much she loved it and then I had to burst her bubble and tell her it wasn’t mine. When I get a chance to see Cindie face to face and apologize for the mistake, I’m sure she will say something like “Mistake? – You mean plagiarism!!!” Of course she will be kidding I hope? (Fingers crossed)
Faith
Does anyone see some scripture as I do? The line from NIV: “which you broke” ~ from KJV it’s: “which thou brakest” and from the Message it’s: “The ones you smashed.”

I know God gave me my sense of humor and when I read these verses, I laugh. It was put in here on purpose. The Word is God breathed with no flaws. At this point we know Moses broke the tablets, Moses knows he broke the tablets and for sure God knows Moses broke the tablets. So I smile when my Father points out the obvious.
Experience
Father God, we are blessed that you created us in your image. Help us now to walk in your light. Amen and Amen
